Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

May 3, 2014 – We made it to EBC

Hi this is Temba calling from Everest Base Camp we are at 17,700 feet above sea level. We made it here right before 11 and we visited my friend’s camp and we had a wonderful lunch. We are all doing very good. The weather is kind of cloudy but on the way we saw Mount Everest. We visited the Icefall doctors and some other camps.

Jim Brown, Jim Allen, Ryan, and Jackson are all doing very wonderful. It is now 11:30 Nepal time and we are starting to go back to Gorak Shep. I have just talked to Min and he and Dave are already in Kathmandu at the hotel Yak and Yeti. Everything is really fine here and I will send you some photos when we get to Gorak Shep.

Thanks, bye!

Tshering Tenzing, who is the chief of the SPCC Icefall doctors this year sent us some photos just before Ang Temba and the BAI team arrived at Base Camp for a visit:

We are having bad weather and it is still snowing outside the SPCC office at Everest Base Camp.

We also received news from Min here at the Berg Adventures office about Dave Cohn. Here is what Min had to say:

Hi,

Namaste!

We are fine here. Dave and I arrived in Kathmandu at a nice time. He is doing fine and tomorrow we are going to take him to visit Darbar square, hanuman dhoka and thamel. I will be with Dave every day in Kathmandu until he departs from home. Dave is a really nice guy! He is doing great.
