Why climb with Berg Adventures

Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

April 27, 2014 – From Thame to Khumjung

We had a very nice time in Thame. While we were there we met our painter friend Pasang. We saw and bought some of his beautiful Thangka paintings.

Ang Pasang Sherpa lost his fingers to frostbite on a climbing expedition. He now paints beautiful Thangka paintings that depict Sherpa life in the Khumbu.

We left Thame around 8 am and we went to visit the Hydro Plant. We then stopped for lunch along the trails. On our way to Khumjung we visited the Khunde hospital, Khumjung monastery and the Hilary School. Jim Brown gave some things to the school like pens, pencils and toothbrushes. Our lodge is right next to the school.
