Climb the most remote of the Seven Summits with Berg Adventures
Carstensz Pyramid Expedition Dispatches
March 19, 2014 – A Photo Recap of Our Amazing Carstensz Pyramid Adventure
Brent sent some photos via e-mail to the Berg Adventures office today. We were amazed at the beautiful and unique shots he captured during the expedition. As you can see from the following photos this trek was unlike any climb Berg Adventures climbers have ever experienced!
The trek started with motorcycle rides to our starting point!
Jen arrived a bit muddy from the ride but smiling!
Passing by Dani villages as we begin out trek
The beauty along the trails is unmatched!
Crossing river after river on our way to base camp
The thick jungles make for interesting trekking
Our porter who was an amazing shot with his pellet gun
He never misses! Every bird he caught was eaten by the porters.
Jen trekking through the mud in her rain boots
This dog accompanied us the whole way to base camp and never seemed to get dirty!
Porters carrying in loads
We are in constant awe of the surrounding beauty.
We were always so impressed with what our porters could whip up for dinner in the midst of the jungle! The food was always delicious!
It is amazing how quickly the weather changes around us.
Base camp is a welcome sight after trekking for 5 days!
