Sellers Family Mustang Trek Dispatche
November 19, 2013 – A Photo Recap of Our Days Spent in Mustang: Part I
Ang Temba sent us some photos from the past few days. It will be easy to see what a beautiful and fascinating place Mustang is and how much at home Scot, Keely and Alyssa have felt here.
On November 16th the team was at the village of Ghemi, elevation 11, 500 feet.
Trekking in Mustang is very different from the Everest Region. We are north of the Himalayan divide now and it is much drier.
Ghemi is a classic village of Mustang, high and remote.
Our lodging in Mustang is a simpler version of the classic Sherpa homes, guests stay in clean, spacious and orderly rooms.
Scot, Alyssa and Keely feel right at home.
They purchased some beautiful handiwork that will help them remember Mustang.
A familiar farewell, Khata blessing scarves are offered to travellers in Mustang just as they are in the Sherpas homes near Everest.
Time to move further into Mustang.
