Sibley Family and Friends Mount Ararat Expedition Dispatch
August 5, 2013 – A Very Successful First Day on the Mountain
We drove 45 minutes from our hotel in Dogubeyazit toward Mount Ararat.
The mountain looking increasingly imposing as we got closer
We began walking at 11:00 AM. We had packed our lunches at the hotel and it seemed time to begin eating shortly after we began hiking; Kelley enjoyed a fresh tomato from her lunch bag.
