Sibley Family and Friends Mount Ararat Expedition Dispatch
August 2, 2013 – A Full Day of Sightseeing in Cappadocia
Today we had a full schedule; we started our day with a short hike in the love valley followed by a hike in the around the Rose Valley. After lunch we went to the Kaymakli underground city and the Goreme Open Air Museum. It was definitely a full day; we are back at the hotel now and tomorrow we will have an early start. We are going for a day hike in the Tarus Mountains tomorrow and this will give us a chance to stretch our legs and start getting ready for Mount Ararat.

Goreme Open Air Museum where the group would have seen beautiful rock cut churches and the incredible wall paintings that decorate the interior of this historical site.
Goreme Open Air Museum has been a member of the UNESCO world heritage list since 1984.
