July 16, 2013 – The Ararat Team Has Arrived in Turkey

A message from Wally:

Our Dutch climbers and adventurers arrived at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport from Amsterdam at 3:45 PM today. Leila and our Berg Adventures guide were waiting and accompanied the team on the transfer to our hotel near Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. Our flight to Kayseri leaves early tomorrow morning. We were pleased to find that this hotel has a lovely rooftop restaurant; it was a marvelous spot to spend our first evening in Turkey together. We hope that you will stay tuned as we post reports from our travels through some of the best parts of Anatolia and ultimately on our attempt to reach the summit of Mount Ararat.
