July 7, 2013 – The Team Moves into Their Barrel

It is a great day in the Caucasus, perfectly clear sky. We rode the lifts back up this morning and moved in! Our cook Olga has prepared a nice lunch. Tim began improvement projects yesterday by moving snow with a shovel to make benches, seats and walkways.

Today the "Three Amigos" put some of their old "toilet engineering" skills to use and made even more improvements. We are going to have a good home here.

Now that lunch is finished it is time to climb up the glacier again for some more acclimatization.
