July 1, 2013 – Our Walking Tour of St. Petersburg
Our boat ride through the canals of Petersburg was a great way to get introduced to the city.
Wally and Raphael were usually seen with a camera to their face
On the boat tour we passed the Naval Academy along the banks of the Neva River.
We passed the Cruiser Aurora. It was from this vessel that "The Shot Heard Round the World" - the canon fire that signed the beginning of the October Revolution in 1917 was heard.
We visited the Bronze Horseman, depicting Peter the Great riding over a serpent that represents ignorance and superstition.
