October 11, 2012 – Our First Day Trekking: The Walk to Phakding
The walk from Lukla to Phakding is a beautiful assault on the senses. The colors, sounds, the mountain beauty, rushing water and especially the nearly constant religious artwork of the Sherpa Buddhist culture are all amazing.

Our trail wound through seemingly endless mani rocks, chortens and prayer flags.
Lauren, Alix and Tina arrived from London only a few days ago. They are in a different world now.
