October 11, 2012 – Let the Trekking Begin

We checked out of the Yak and Yeti Hotel by 4:45am. By 6:00am, our bags were checked to Lukla and we were excited and ready to go!

We had a great Flight to Lukla!

We were very excited of course, and our flight to Lukla today was beautiful. Clear blue skies over Kathmandu with a few clouds along the way. We were able to look from the window of our airplane and see other planes flying below us through the mountains. We also flew past the helicopter that had our baggage and cargo for the trek on board.
