Elbrus Expedition Dispatch
July 3, 2012 – Moscow was Great – Now is Time to Go to the Caucasus Mountains!
Yesterday our group rode 5 stops on Moscow's amazing metro system with Nadia. They also visited Red Square and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. Last evening Red Square was a colorful and entertaining place to sit around and people watch.
Today we left some bags with our city clothes stored here at the Park Hyatt and now we are off to Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport for our flights to the Caucasus Mountains.
Not trusting Moscow traffic we left the Hyatt early this morning, 7:30 am. Traffic was not bad, so we got here early... Sheremetyevo is vastly improved from the old airport we know from a few years ago.../p>
Nadia was along with us to offer more insights into life in Moscow in 2012, the changes that have taken place and the realities of life here today.
