February 11, 2011 – Stop Number Two: Terrazas de Los Andes

We had a wonderful time at Pulenta Estates and the tone for our day was set. We were taking our time: enjoying one another’s company, great wines and beautiful countryside. Mariela had set everything up and her cell phone began ringing early in the day. Where were we? She did a masterful job of reassuring everyone that we were in fact on our way. The truth is we were aware of the time and our schedule. It is just that, as Mariela says, “The only way to have great wine is to add great grapes and great people.” Conversation, information and stories, we had much to share, and in three languages no less—Spanish, English and Finnish!

Our second stop was at Jussi’s request. He’d had a friend recommend the Cheval de Andes at Terrazas.
