Jamie Clarke’s Expedition Hanesbrands Everest Dispatch
April 8, 2010 – Keeping Communications Clear
Once again, Ang Tshering Sherpa has taken a leave from his job with the KBC hydro electric project which serves the sherpas of Khumbu to be Berg Adventures base camp manager, this time for our Hanesbrands Everest 2010 Expedition.
On the trek to base camp, we are busy preparing our VHF radio system as well as our satellite communication equipment so that we can have efficient movement of supplies and safe communications in case of emergency. At Pangboche, Scott and Tshering had their soldering guns out and were intent on making sure all of our equipment was wired properly and in good working order.
