November 9, 2009 – Team Arrives at Camp Dole

The team has hiked over many suspension bridges

This is Temba calling you from Dole. Today the group began our journey in the morning from Khumjung. We had hot lemon tea at the Mong La where we enjoyed a fantastic view of Ama Dablam. We then walked down to Phortse Thanga for our lunch.

After lunch we walked on the trail, which is full of new Buddhist art, prayer flags and small monasteries, through the beautiful rhododendron and juniper forests. We arrived at camp Dole about 3pm.

Everybody is doing very well and our weather has been great; even though it is cool in the morning and evenings.
