Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch
May 9, 2009 – Team Reaches Everest Base Camp
Our team arrived at Everest Base Camp. It was great to have reached our goal and to soak in the stories and to see the colorful characters living at EBC this year.
We had great weather in the morning

As we arrived at base camp we were greeted by our old friend, Ang Nima, the famous "ice fall doctor" of Everest expeditions

We were welcomed to the Everest Base Camp clinic by Dr. Eric Johnson, who has been here for the entire season. Eric will be a faculty member on the BAI Wilderness Medicine Update on Everest program October, 2009
We had hot soup and snacks in the dinning tent of the Everest Base Camp clinic. Dr. Eric Johnson gave us an update about the season so far.
It began to snow after lunch, but we put the prayer flags that Lama Geshi had blessed on a chorten at Everest Base Camp.
