Kit DesLauriers made history as being the first person to ski from the top of each of the Seven Summits. Kit recently released her book “Higher Love – Skiing the Seven Summits”. Her accomplishments in the mountaineering world are truly amazing and it is a great read for anyone who is looking to feel inspired in conquering their life goals.

Kit had always had the taste for adventure. She has been skiing since she could remember. From Nordic skiing when she was young and her first downhill ski when she was 14, Kit grew up knowing the love for the mountains and snow. But it wasn’t until a little later in life, after writing down a list of her life’s goals with her husband Rob DesLauriers that she began to dream about taking skiing to the next level.

From being the first woman to complete a ski descent of Mount Aspiring in New Zealand in 2003, to her multiple Championships in Women’s Freeskiing and onto the rights to the first person to ski From all Seven Summits her book will give insight into the focus and dedication it took for her to be able to list these as “Career Highlights”.

In 2006 when Kit completed her goal of Skiing the Seven summits (after only two years) she was on the Berg Adventures “One Team – One Mountain Everest Expedition”.
