Ecuador Volcanoes Expedition Dispatch
March 22, 2017 – Fuya Fuya Climb
The team’s goal today was to climb Fuya Fuya, at an altitude of 13,986ft / 4,263m.
They started the climb from the trailhead at Laguna Grande; the entire trail runs through knee-high grass vegetation.
It was cloudy on the way up and it rained on the way down but it was beautiful all the same. Joaquin roped the team up as they were approaching the summit and it was another successful summit day.
