Why climb with Berg Adventures

Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch

January 16, 2017 – Everyone Reached the Summit!

Wow, what a day. Osvaldo, Sergio, Chad, Francisco, Colin and Winston started climbing from high camp at 5:00 AM. 10 ½ hours later, at 3:45PM, Osvaldo proudly called us from the summit with the news that the entire team made it!

Osvi was very emotional and very happy – he spoke of how strong each of the guys were and how they had stuck with it through a long demanding climb.

At 9:05 PM, Osvi called us back from Berlin Camp. Everyone was secure and resting in tents. Maria is serving hot soup, which we expect will taste better than any soup that the guys have ever had. They need it and they deserve it after a completely successful climb the summit of the Americas!

Tomorrow the team will be back at Plaza de Mulas. We look forward to seeing photos from their actual climbing and will post them here as soon as Osvi uploads.

Congratulations, Team!
