Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch
January 4, 2017 – Beautiful Day in the Andes
As you know, we arrived yesterday in the afternoon; everyone is feeling good.
Today the weather is awesome - there is zero wind and the views were spectacular.
We left the hotel at 9:30am to Christ the Redeemer of the Andes, high on the Chilean border at 12,572ft/3,800m on the border between Argentina and Chile. Our goal was to hike around, acclimatize.
We got back to the hotel at 2:30pm and we could not ask for better conditions. Now we are getting ready, finish our packing.
Tomorrow we will leave the hotel and enter the park. Our first camp on Aconcagua will be Confluencia, at an altitude of 11,000ft/3,368m.

Team together, great day!
