February 6, 2015 – Aconcagua Summit Day
Aconcagua, our goal
Today is summit day and we are going to try to climb the highest peak on the southern hemisphere. We are also going to try to climb the highest peak on the western hemisphere and the highest mountain in the world outside the Himalayans, Karakoram and the Premier Mountains in Asia. That’s Aconcagua.
It is a big climb, it really is. This team looks up for it, we got the humility and we know the mountain is bigger than us and we are dealing with high altitude in a big way now in Aconcagua.
I am proud of the team. We are going to take a step at a time and we will report to you how we will do. It is now 5am and we are going to begin climbing.
