Why climb with Berg Adventures

Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch

January 26, 2015 – Trevor Reports from Confluencia

Hi everyone, this is Trevor calling in from camp Confluencia up on the mountain.

We have completed our first trek of the journey. So everything is going really good. We are up in camp. Some of us have already taken a little sleep then back up. Supper is in an hour.

I just want to give you a little reflection of the day. On the way up here it was beautiful weather. It was dry. There was no rain no snow. It is very dusty. We looked up and saw a wild Eunaku. You may want to google that it’s related to the camel. It’s wild and very rare to see which was pretty cool.

We hike up the Harcones River pretty much all the way up to Camp Confluencia. We arrived around 3:30 and now we are surrounded by massive peaks. Absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking.

So we are all sleeping in one massive tent tonight. That’s hilarious! Because we are 12 climbers we call ourselves the dirty dozen so you might want to follow that.

Basically guys we are up here, doing very well. Two of my climbers in the group have decided to donate 1 cent for every foot that I gain. So this has started the fundraiser in the group has started. So I really want to say thanks to everyone for getting on board and supporting me in my journey with my fundraising efforts as well.

I really have enjoyed everything and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Alright, take care!
