Island Peak Expedition Dispatch

November 6, 2014 – Frank, Travis and Bob Summit Island Peak!

Namaste! This is Temba calling from Island Peak high camp. It is 8 AM here in Nepal. Our team, three members; Frank Travis and Bob and two Sherpas; Jatha and Sandkup all made it to the summit of Island Peak at 8.

Hello, Namaste! This is Temba calling from Island Peak base camp.

Our team made it to the Island Peak summit this morning by 8 AM and then they came all the way down to base camp by noon.

It is now 6 PM and we are going to go have some dinner. Everyone is really tired but doing very well. The weather is still beautiful so we are great.

We will call you tomorrow when we get down to Pangboche. I will send some photos from there.
