April 30, 2014 – An Acclimatization Day in Pheriche
Today we had an acclimatization day in Pheriche. We walked up to Dingboche hill to see Mt. Makalu, the fifth highest mountain and Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world. We also saw the famous trekking peak Island Peak. We then went for a visit to Dingboche and back to Pheriche where we had lunch and showers. In the afternoon we visited the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic.
I called Min this evening to see how he and Dave were doing. He reports that Dave is doing great! Tomorrow they will be going to Phakding and the next day they will be in Lukla. We will keep you updated on Dave and Min’s adventure!
The whole team is doing very well!
