November 12, 2013 – Back in Kathmandu
Three wonderful weeks of trekking and climbing in the Khumbu Region, the homeland of the Sherpas and the location of some of the world’s most beautiful mountains, have come to an end.
Scot, Keely and Alyssa boarded an early morning flight in Lukla and were whisked away back to Kathmandu, a city which has a way of seeming primitive when you first arrive, but ultramodern when you return from trekking.
The adventures will soon continue. The team and Temba will be off the Mustang in a couple of days, then Tibet.
Here a few photos of our “reentry” to the modern world.

The “German Bakery” in Lukla is located across from the airstrip. Here is a farewell shot with our Berg Adventures trekking staff.

Time to board for our flight out of the mountains.

A traditional first stop back in Kathmandu is “Fire and Ice Pizza.”

The deserts at Fire and Ice are awesome! Alyssa love her brownie.

And Scot his ice cream.

Back at the Yak and Yeti, our home in Kathmandu.
