April 29, 2010 – Today's Trek from Khumjung to Pangboche
After an invigorating day on the trail, we have now made it to Pangboche at 13,000 ft/3,960 metres. Everyone in the group is doing very, very well.
We started out in Khumjung this morning. As the sun rose, it turned into a beautiful day and we were treated to gorgeous views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. We took our time along the trail and ended up in Pangboche at about 4 pm. Tonight we will be staying at the lodge that is run by my wife.
Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day. We have a scheduled visit with Lama Geshe from the Tengboche monastery who is one of the most well educated lamas in the region. We are all looking forward to that!
