Why climb with Berg Adventures

Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

February 8, 2015 – Jambo from Kilimanjaro

This is V from team Hong Kong, where Rob, Darla, David and Mark. Tonight we are overnighting at the Karanga Valley. We arrived after doing the Lava Tower this morning, then hiked across to the Barranco Wall; had lunch before starting which was definitely needed because good effort climbing that wall to the top and making the rest of the way to Karanga camp.

We were greeted by an incredible reception, by the team that had been so amazing to us, both treating us to incredible meals, incredible company, and looking after us very well first in spirits and overall it couldn’t be any better.

So we thank everyone here at team Berg and we are loving it, this is Vera signing off, tuta banana badai, this is our word for the day, see you later. Hope to be touching base tomorrow.

Lala Salama (good night)

This is V again, I forgot to mention, but take a moment and listen out to the singing. Not sure you can hear the singing in the background but the rest of the camp here are viewing us with envy, a couple of other campers came by and asked for a special little song, our team has been incredibly cooperative and it has been a singing a little extra for everybody enjoyment. This is fantastic. Bomb asana is the word for that, anyway, take care and bye for now!
