Berg Adventures Policies, Payment and Registration Information

Payment Information:

Deposits

Deposits are due, along with a completed application when you join one of our trips. Deposit prices vary depending on the trip.

Payment Method

We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, personal check, money order, and bank wire transfer. If you choose to pay trip balances which exceed $8000 by credit card please contact our office.

Payment Schedule

Full payment for all expeditions is due 90 days prior to the expedition departure date, unless otherwise specified. Participants whose balances are not received by the 90 day deadline risk forfeiture of their place on the expedition.

Cancellation Information:

If you decide to cancel your trip, you must notify Berg Adventures in writing. If proper written cancellation notice is not received, all amounts paid and any reservations made will be forfeited. You will be assessed a cancellation fee according to the following schedule:

  • Full refunds, less US$150 registration fee, will be provided 90 days prior to course, trek or expedition date.
  • 50% refunds will be provided 60-89 days prior to course, trek or expedition date.
  • No refunds will be provided 59 days or less prior to course, trek or expedition date.
  • If you wish to transfer from one trip to another, you must notify Berg Adventures in writing and transfer will take effect upon receipt by us on a space available basis. If we are notified more than 60 days prior to departure, your deposit (less an administration fee of US$150) will be transferred.

Vinson Cancellation

The US$5,000 deposit includes a US$1,000 non-refundable application fee imposed by the airline services. Full refunds, less the US$1,000 application fee, will be given up to 90 days prior to the departure date. No refunds will be issued within 90 days of the departure date.

Everest Cancellation

The US$15,000 deposit includes a US$5,000 non-refundable application fee. Full refunds, less the US$5,000 application fee, will be given up to 120 days prior to the departure date. No refunds will be issued within 120 days of the departure date.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance for all expeditions. Due to the nature of government and operator permits, BAI must adhere to a strict refund policy. Please refer to our Travel Resources page for more information.
