Sit back and enjoy the incredible sights and sounds of Ecuador with Berg Adventures as we take you to a few of our favorite places in this diverse country. We begin our journey in Quito, situated in the Andean highlands at 9,350ft/2,850m and surrounded by beautiful valleys and breathtaking mountains. Its unique mix of rich history, cultural heritage and modern influence makes Quito a true gem. After a morning tour of the city, we travel north to the mountainous countryside where we will dive into a colorful market specializing in indigenous crafts and textiles, venture to the appropriately named Guinea Pig Lake, and relax in a beautiful hacienda.

After returning to Quito, the real adventure begins as we embark on a journey into the Amazon Basin! We will take a short flight to the town of Coca where we will board a boat on the Napo River to get to our final destination at the eco-lodge. The facility is truly unique as it is a community-run lodge and education center established in 2003 as a part of an ecotourism project that included the conservation of 53,500 acres/21,400 hectares of rainforest. The lodge is renowned for its quality services, facilities and educational programs.

Your local guides will help you to further appreciate the wonders of the jungle with their wealth of knowledge and their uncanny ability to spot and identify the diverse flora and fauna.
