February 1, 2013 – The Circle of Life
The FIRST lion we saw. We were watching this amazing creature and then.....nothing......it disappeared just like that! Truly amazing creatures!

This zebra is relaxing a little, probably celebrating after escaping the lions like the one we saw yesterday!
Giraffes are so pretty!!! We are looking forward to seeing more when we get to the Serengeti.
Baby elephant with mommy! We were lucky enough to see this very new baby (few weeks old) nursing. How special is that!
Baboon with new born baby! Now this is really special. We can't believe how lucky we are to see and experience so much!
Mama baboon and her baby. We saw several baboons carrying their young on their back.
Zebras - look how they just meld together. We saw herd after herd of Zebra and when a light rain came we saw them migrating with the Wildebeests. They stick together for protection.
Baby zebra - we saw so many babies, it was great!!!
