The Bishop Family Safari Dispatch
July 20, 2011 – Walking Safari in Tarangire National Park
This is Kim Bishop calling after another spectacular day on safari. We went on an adventure where we hiked for a while then we laid down in the grass for a while and very quietly watched a few groups of elephants come and go from a watering hole. There were a lot of baboons running around, so many in number that we could not count. Just so much activity, it was very interesting. As we walked, we felt like we were a part of the whole seen. We took lots of photos and video. We also saw a couple warthogs like the ones from the Lion King.
The boys are sound asleep and I’m whispering because I don’t want to wake them. They are both pretty tired after all the excitement today.
We watched a beautiful sunset today and went on a nighttime safari drive which was a really neat adventure. We came back to Treetops for an enchanting and magical dinner. Looking forward to another great day tomorrow.
