The Bishop Family Safari Dispatch

July 19, 2011 – In Our Treehouse in Tarangire National Park

Hi this is Kim checking in from Tarangire and we will start the dispatch with a funny story: Barry, my oldest son, got into his wonderfully-made bed in our treehouse at Tarangire Treetops and ran across a very scary water bottle under his sheets. He practically jumped out of his skin, but I think he’s recovered. He was just pleasantly surprised that there was a water bottle and not a creature in his bed.

We are doing well and we are completely blown away by our room in the trees. It is quite an adventure to arrive somewhere at night and then you get to see what is around you the next day. It is amazing to wake up to a surprising view each morning.

We had an amazing safari in the Land Cruiser on the way here. It feels like we have already seen every animal possible, including a leopard in a tree.
