Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch
August 29, 2009 – Congratulations to Chris
Congratulations! Chris reached the famous sign, on the “Rooftop of Africa”.
We received Chris’s final dispatch from Kilimanjaro today. She called us from the Marangu Gate where she was met by BAI staff who will take her back to Arusha and where she said goodbye to her Berg Adventures guides, camp staff and porters. Here in the Canadian office of BAI we want to congratulate Chris on reaching the top of Africa. The Rongai is beautiful, but it is also very challenging. In her reports to us from the mountain Chris has been very modest and matter of fact. We can tell that she having a great time and was confident of her strength, preparedness and of the quality of her BAI support team, but we know how difficult it is to climb Kili, even in the most ideal conditions, and today our hats are off the Chris for a job well done!

Hi, this is Chris calling on August 29th. We just walked down to the Marangu Gate and we are off the mountain now.
Berg Adventures had a catered lunch waiting for me here at the park gate; it was great. All my staff have been very helpful and they have been a pleasure to be with. They have made this trip very enjoyable for me.
