Why climb with Berg Adventures

Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch

January 15, 2020 – Two Nights at Plaza Canada, Elevation 5050m, 16,500ft

Once teams reach the Plaza de Mulas base camp on Aconcagua the real mountain fun begins. Acclimatization is still the key so at least three nights are spent here before moving up to sleep. There are doctors stationed here just as there is at Confluencia so after two nights and some hiking from Plaza the guys went in to have their 0-2 saturations and blood pressure checked. Everyone checked out great.

The mountain is dry this year so the ascent goes step by step up the rock and scree slopes above Base Camp.

Weather looks great and so do all you guys. Keep sending us updates.
