Ecuador and Galapagos Expedition Dispatch
October 14, 2017 – Magical Days Spent in Galapagos Islands
After our walk inland to see the giant tortoises on Monday at Santa Clara Island we got back on board the Petrel and that night the captain took off for Sullivan Bay on Santiago Island, where we awoke on Tuesday morning.
In the days to come we visited Bartholomew Island, Darwin Bay on Genovesa Island as well as Espumilla Beach and Buccaneer Cove. Each of the next days was relaxing yet stimulating with new wildlife wonders and new sights at every turn. We went snorkeling four times! We also did countless wet and dry landings to explore along the coasts.
The service on board the Petrel was excellent and the crew always made us feels welcomed when we got back on board
The photos below will show some of the beauty we experienced and the fun we had.
