Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

October 2, 2015 – Arrived in Marchermo – 14,650ft Above Sea Level

Hello, this is Temba calling from Marchermo; we are 14,650 feet above sea level. This morning we walked up from Dole – beautiful weather, beautiful scenery. It is a nice flat walk, pretty gentle and there were a lot of beautiful flowers on the trail. And then we saw a beautiful mountain, one of the 8000 meter peaks, Cho Oyu.

It is right now 6:00 PM Nepal time and we are having dinner. We just walked for four hours today; we relaxed the whole afternoon, playing a game and enjoying the lodge. It is a really nice lodge here at Marchermo.

Tomorrow we are going to Gokyo and I will call you from there.
