Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch

February 1, 2015 – Trevor Thanks Everyone Who Helped Him Make This Expedition Happen

Hi there everyone, I hope you can hear me, it is Trevor calling from the mountain. I am in Camp 1. The winds are low, there is no snow and the sun is just starting to set, just around 9 o’clock and we are sitting with our tents pitched at 16,672ft.

So we are doing very well. We just had our supper and everyone is here. We are strong, everybody got their gastro intestinal disorder all worked out so we are a solid dozen again. We are rocking and rolling and we are going to do a move tomorrow to Nido and back down, spend another night and then move up to Nido. We are definitely pushing, it is awesome.

I want to say thank to everyone who sponsored, who made donations, who trained me and made provisions to help me with my training, everything, this is awesome. I feel strong, there isn’t anything super hard about it yet but we will be going higher, altitude will be the key, and there is tons of winds here, so we will be getting up into the wind.
