Aconcagua Expedition Dispatch
January 22, 2015 – Our Early Arrivals are in Mendoza
12 PM:
Elisa and Pedro have arrived! They flew from San Paulo, Brazil. They were met at the airport by the BAI Bolivian team. The team knows Elisa from her two previous climbs in Bolivia with BAI.
Also our newest member of the Bolivian climbing team is here in Mendoza. His name is Havier. He is a great guy. He has climbed Everest and I have heard that he is a good cook!
Shortly after arriving Elisa and Pedro took off with Havier to go check out the rental shop. A few minutes later they returned to the hotel with crampons and double plastic boots they had rented.

6:30 PM:
Now we have five of the team members here in Mendoza. Joanne from New Zealand, Christina from San Francisco and Joshua from Washington DC have arrived at the Park Hyatt after their connecting flights via Buenos Aires and Santiago. All their bags arrived with them and they are excited to be here!
