July 13, 2014 – A Photo Recap of Our Elbrus Expedition: St. Petersburg & Moscow

Dan and Tom Gormley arrived a few days early in St. Petersburg to spend some extra time in the beautiful city.

St. Petersburg in July offers the most beautiful sunsets, but not until at least 12 AM.

Dan, Tom and Lina, among many other places, visited the Alexander Palace.

Berg Adventures climbers are always in St. Petersburg during the annual “White Nights” race. Our own climber Micheline completed the 10 KM race.

We had a great tour day in St. Petersburg and saw many famous sites.

We left the Nevsky Palace hotel in the evening, with help from the wonderful staff, for the midnight train to Moscow.

We were excited to board the Grand Express Midnight train from St. Petersburg to Moscow.

As soon as we arrived in Moscow we checked in showered and were off again for another full day of touring yet another of Russia’s famous cities: Moscow.
