September 13, 2012 – An Amazing First Day On Safari
Hi there this is Peggy on safari, September 14th. We left Arusha yesterday and arrived at Tarangeri National Park where everybody was immediately blown away because as soon as we entered the park there were some amazing things to see, such as elephants, giraffes, egrets, zebras, wildebeest , cape buffalos. Everywhere we turn there were new birds that were very exotic, and rare, and dik diks… on our first safari! Then we had a lovely lunch, at 4pm in the afternoon we went on the evening safari. We continued to see absolutely wonderful, exotic African wildlife safari and especially significant to us, there were an amazing numbers of elephants, which this park is famous for. That blew us away, just elephants, all around us, and lots of babies, it was really sweet. We’re talking hundreds of elephants; it was really amazing. Of course then we got back to the park after just being so full of shooting animals and we had a real surprise at dinner. Last night after we finish our main course, from the kitchen there was a huge entourage of wait staff, kitchen workers with a lovely cake of Kilimanjaro for us!
