Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

May 7, 2012 – The Team is Moving Down the Khumbu Valley

Today, Monday, we received a few more photos from Dave and Joanne’s trekking team as they head down the valley from Everest Base Camp toward lower elevations.

We heard Dave’s voice over a broken wireless line from Everest Base Camp on Saturday. He sounded great and reported to us that they had all reached Base Camp at 10:50 AM. At the time he called he and Joanne were enjoying tea and watching the snow. As we told you on Saturday, Dave and Joanne had returned back to Gorak Shep by 4:00 PM.

On Sunday the team moved on to Pheriche and today they are going to Pangboche, elevation 13,100 feet above sea level. Ang Temba sent us a few more photos to share today.
