July 8, 2011 – A Day in the Crater
Hi this is the Strohm family. We are calling from the Ngorongoro Crater. We woke up very early this morning and went down into the crater. We saw some lions hunting and we got to see an adult male lion up very close and a young male lion up very close. Today we also saw hyenas, ostriches mating, a black rhino and baby black rhino, elephants, hippos, a hippo with his mount wide open. As you can tell, we have seen so many animals today and Francis has taken us all over.
We ended today looking out over the Ngorongoro Crater where we watched the sunset. We’re doing great and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you.
