Kilimanjaro Expedition Dispatch

Febuary 25, 2010 — Lauren Heads Out on Safari

Hi this is Lauren. My dad is headed to the airport with Jacob.

I just stopped to have a delicious lunch at Lake Manyara and now we are headed to the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge where I’ll stay tonight. Yesterday we went to Tarangire National Park and we saw SO many elephants, a lot of impalas, an ostrich, and several different kinds of birds. We stayed at the Tarangire Treetops Lodge which was really beautiful. After dinner, the waiters brought us out a big chocolate cake which was made in the shape of Mount Kilimanjaro but we were too full to eat all of it! They also sang to us when they brought out the cake, which was very nice.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the zebras tomorrow! Bye for now.
