September 8, 2008 – Everything is Fantastic as We Descend Kilimanjaro

Astonishing view of the Reusch crater which is located inside the Kibo crater on top of Kilimanjaro. The Reusch crater was named after a man named Richard Reusch who climbed inside the crater in 1926. The crater itself is approximately 800 metres in diameter.

Yesterday we climbed to the summit and the climb went very well. Last night we slept in the main crater on Kilimanjaro which was very exciting! Now we are heading down the mountain and everything is great! I am very happy with everything and hope that my loved one at home is doing fine as well.
