November 3, 2019 – First Summit on Melody's First Full Day in Ecuador
Melody's American Airlines flight landed somewhat late in the wee hours off the morning Sunday morning. Joaquin was waiting. A short drive in the darkness brought them to the Marriot Hotel in downtown Quito.
After a bit of rest the team was off to climb Ruca Pichincha, at elevation 15,670 ft. (4,776m). This was a new mountain for Melody. Last year she climbed Guagua Pichincha.
As you can see from these photos, the clouds are hanging on the peaks around Quito. The weather held long enough for Melody to reach the top however and she looks great and strong.
