Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

October 18, 2019 – Helicopter Ride to Lukla, Beautiful Hike to Namche Bazaar!

After landing in Lukla (elevation 2800 meters), Adriana, Temba and their porters began the beautiful hike towards the famous trading town of Namche Bazaar. The trail is spectacular, with steep green hillsides rising above, and the roaring water of the Dudh Kosi river below.

They crossed the infamous Namche Bridge and then they began the slow climb up the "Namche Hill", which is a true "welcome to Nepal" experience.

Namche is at 3440 meters!

Berg Adventures has great friends in Namche Bazaar and they have felt very welcomed there.

More adventures to come as they climb higher! First it will be "acclimatization' to the altitude and "socialization" in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the world for at least two nights.
