June 30, 2016 – Great Luck with Weather Again on Our Second Acclimatization Day
We listen to violent thunderstorms and hard rain at night from our hotel room at 6,700 feet above sea level in the valley. We look at weather forecast that indicate inches of rain are due in the coming hours.
And then we get started and the skies clear! It has happened two days in a row now. The classic walk from the village of Terskol, which ascends 3000 feet to the site of the Terskol Observatory is a beautiful one on mountain roads and trails.
Sue Roadman took these photos along the way today. A very enjoyable way to get ready for the high altitude that lies ahead of us!

We started walking under partly cloudy skies; which was a blessing give that the forecast was for hard rain.

Mid way we reach a lovely waterfall.

A great spot for a team photo and lunch

By late morning we were at the top, 10,200 feet.

Time to kick back and enjoy a mountain view
