Why climb with Berg Adventures

Everest Base Camp Trek Dispatch

April 19, 2016 – Happy Anniversary Heather and Mark!

Wow, what an exciting day. Ang Temba and the Berg Adventures team in Kathmandu have reported that Mark and Kylie’s days in Kathmandu have been perfect. They have seen all the big sights, Swayambhu (The “Monkey Temple”), Boudhanath Stupa and the most important Hindu temple, Pashupati. Temba also mentioned that they did not miss another classic Kathmandu pre trek experience: lunch at Fire and Ice Pizza!

As much fun as this father and daughter team is having, their thoughts are also at home and with the rest of the family. Today is Mark and Heather’s 30 anniversary! Mark also keep mentioning to us how excited Kylie’s brother Ryan is about coming to Nepal himself later this year to climb Island Peak.

Thursday morning’s 5:30 AM departure from the Yak and Yeti for the domestic is only a short time away now. Mark “Garv” has been up online and sending us e-mails all night: he is too excited to sleep and we don’t blame him.

We hope you enjoy a few photos from the Kathmandu tour. Next stop is Lukla!
