July 9, 2015 – A Relaxing Day in the Valley for Successful Summit Climbers
We have had a day off to enjoy the green summertime valley after coming off Mount Elbrus yesterday.
We took off for a look around.
Karina planned a nice lunch at a restaurant by a lake for us; we were met by Wally’s brother Anatoliy Savejko, a photographer who had showed up high on Elbrus early in the morning the day before yesterday when we were climbing.
Toliy presented us each with a portfolio of prints that he made of us climbing. It was gratifying to see the prints of us in action up high only two days after we’d climbed.
Then it was time to enjoy another barbeque! Our appetites stay high afrer the demanding climb on Elbrus.
It was a sunny afternoon. Kristen enjoys the warm mountain valley sun.

Heather, who is not really a cold weather girl, looked beautiful after returning to the valley after the high altitude wind and cold.
