August 25, 2013 – Alain is Back to Enjoy La Paz

A Message from Osvaldo in La Paz:

Today Alain decided to walk around and got to know more about the city. We visited some places in the city

We began by visiting the Government’s Palace, Plaza Murillo, and then he took some pictures of the meeting's buildings (this place is used for the president's meetings). There we talked a bit more about the history of the place. Plaza Murillo has always been the center of the marches in La Paz. In the past 2003 this place was also the place of a small war between the military force and the police.

Then he took some other pictures of Plaza Murillo. After that we visited the San Francisco Church on our way and we also visited The Witch’s market.

The weather was just perfect for this walk, even though it had rained and snowed the night before. Weather and time was on our side!

Anyway, this morning around 9:30 we were picking up Alain for another adventure, in Sajama this time. We woke up with beautiful weather, there are no clouds in the sky and Alain looked very good this morning.

The witch’s market is always a unique experience. There are so many interesting items; many of which are believed to bring good luck.

The colorful streets of La Paz are always a good place to learn about and enjoy the Bolivian culture.
